As soon as I obtain a CD I discard the "jewel case" and put the written literature and disc into the Case Logic sleeve, then file the sleeve alphabetically and in category into the library case. If I did not file my collections this way, I would be using 3-4 times as much space compared to CD-s in jewel cases,and perhaps 8 times as much space compared to original LP's! I have put into storage or discarded much 1st generation material consisting of LP's and open reel or cassette tapes, since I simply ran out of storage space in my house. The advantage of this space-saving sleeve format is so obvious that I see many video rental and used CD stores store in sleeves rather than the very bulky plastic jewel cases. The Case Logic system is the only one that makes sense for large collections, in my opinion. If the entertainment itself weren't so determined to sell overpackaged CD's & DVD's by attempting to catch the consumer's attention with a bigger box, they would have long ago adopted the compact sleeve format as well. In homes that have limited space, the sleeve and library drawer system is a matter of necessity for those with substantial collections, in my opinion." |

The drawers don't slide easily and the partitions between sections often break, especially the ones at the back of each drawer; the tabs on the bottom of the partitions are flimsy. I really like this product, just feel that it is a bit pricey for something that is not as well fabricated as it might be." |

"This item has been a lifesaver for my collection of 500+ DVDs (I have three of them!). I was up to my neck in DVD cases when I decided to store them in the attic and put the DVDs in these CaseLogic cases. Now the wife is happy and I'm happy because she let's me buy more DVDs. The pro-sleeves that come with the case are one-sided, but the pro-sleeves that you buy in the store are two-sided, and that's ok because there are so many single and double DVD sets now, there's a place for both." |
