I figured I could fit my new 17.3" laptop in my old Swissgear Patriot bag, but unfortunately it didn't fit, so I got this Case Logic. My job has me flying just about every week out of the year and hte computer always goes with me not only on the planes but just about everywhere else throughout the week, so I tend to know what I like in a computer bag and what I don't. I have found this to be a very nice computer bag so far. It holds more stuff than my old Swissgear and it really seems like a lot of thought went into designing this computer bag, from the security friendly sleeve to the layout of the interior to the way the pockets are protected for things like cell phones and external hard drives and jump drives, etc. The overnighter portion is probably not good for much clothes but perhaps a bit deeper than the Swissgear, as I feel like I've been cramming more stuff in there than I'm used to (Ipod/Bose headphones, my inflatable back pillow, the massive power cord thing for my laptop, etc.). The telescoping handle feels sturdy and just fine for my 6' 8" self to pull behind me without kicking it constantly. The handle is actually two handles, one on each side. The handles feel durable and like they will last a long time, which was unfortunately a point of weakness for my old swissgear bag. The bag still fits fine under the seat in front of me for most flights, with the added benefit that when I recently got on one of the little 30-seater embraears (tiny planes with no room under your seat and no room in the overhead bins), I was actually able to take the computer sleeve out, slide that under my seat, and the rest fit in the overhead bin, which my old swissgear didn't! My only complaints, the strap to attach keys to (at least thats what I use it for) is a little too small to attach to my carabiner and there is only slots for two pens. I'm a penaholic.
